Cher was standing at the airport to greet Kavaan. She wore sunglasses, a black face mask, and a white jacket. She met with vets there who accompanied the elephant. “Kavaan had another 90 minutes drive to reach its destination”, said Animal Rescue Organization Four Paws. Kavaan released in daylight today after a long journey.

“Kaavan was eating, was not stressed and he even slept a little bit whilst leaning on the wall of the crate! He behaves like a ‘Frequent Flyer’”. The flight was uneventful, which is all you can ask for when you transfer an elephant!

Moving this big boy from Pakistan to Cambodia was logistically challenging and the hardest rescue ever for us. This plane ride would never have happened without the trust and support of American Businessman, Eric Margolis. pic.twitter.com/SXWfckLmCe
Minister of climate change Malik Amin Aslam has also shared Kavaan’s pictures on social media. He captioned, “Great to see Kaavan land safely in Cambodia.”
