Ramadan spiritual preparation and community responsibilities – Al Dammam

In celebration of the arrival of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, a spiritually and purpose-driven gathering was organized, attended enthusiastically by respected social, religious, and business personalities of the community. The atmosphere of the event was filled with spirituality, hope, and a sense of brotherhood. The primary purpose of the gathering was to highlight the preparations for Ramadan, its virtues, and our collective responsibilities, so that every individual could welcome this blessed month in a better and meaningful way.

The event was presided over by Professor Ihsan Ullah Bhatti, President of the Pak Global Forum, with oversight by Chairman Rana Javed Aslam. In his opening remarks, he warmly welcomed the guests and emphasized that Ramadan-ul-Mubarak is not limited to fasting and worship alone, but also conveys a message of patience, mercy, endurance, and blessings. He urged attendees to understand the true spirit of the month and strive to bring positive changes in their lives—whether in character, behavior, or their relations with society.

The special guest of the event, former Supreme Court Justice of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Munir Ahmad Kamar, delivered an impactful speech on the spiritual significance of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak. He highlighted that this month is a prime opportunity for spiritual purification, attaining piety, and drawing closer to Allah. Ramadan allows individuals to reflect on their actions, repent for their mistakes, and strive to become better human beings. He further emphasized that by improving social and cultural practices and promoting unity, a strong and cohesive community can be built.

Other prominent social and business personalities, including Abdul Saboor Qureshi, Dr. Asad Mahmood, Nadeem Akhtar Chaudhry, and Ghulam Mustafa Sammi, also addressed the gathering. They discussed the blessings of Ramadan and the importance of charity and helping the needy. They emphasized that the month is not only about personal worship but also about aiding those in need, showing compassion, and facilitating ease in society. Even small contributions, if made by each individual according to their capacity, can bring significant positive change in the community.

The speakers also stressed that Ramadan provides an opportunity to support the community, extend a helping hand to one another, and replace hatred with love and tolerance. This month teaches lessons of humanity, mercy, and sincerity, which guide us not only during Ramadan but throughout life.

The event concluded with refreshments for the attendees, providing an opportunity for everyone to sit together and express joy, unity, and the spirit of brotherhood. The gathering proved to be not only a way to prepare for Ramadan but also an important step in strengthening community bonds, unity, and spiritual awareness.
