Pakistan’s first e-bike sharing service launched in Islamabad by the Minister of Information Technology.

Minister for Information Technology and Telecom has launched the first e-bike service in Islamabad. During the first phase, the company will launch the e-bike in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. This service will help working women as they won’t need to hire local transport. The e-bikes will be available at metro stations in both cities. Moreover, the minister revealed that the company would launch an e-bike service all over the country within a year.

How will it be used?

The e-bike service can be gain by mobile e-bike applications. If a person reserves an e-bike near his location, he will unlock the electric bike by paying 5 rupees, and total charges will be 5 rupees per minute for a ride. The whole system will be digital for this service. The roamer technology has partnered with a jazz company to provide connectivity, and customers can pay through jazz cash.

Roamer technology has a plan to deploy 2000 e-bikes all over the country within a year. This service will change the concept of public transport. The user will be able to track the location of the bike from his mobile.
