Shahid Afridi left the LPL (Lankan Premium League) due to a “Personal Emergency”

Shahid Afridi was in Sri Lanka to lead Galle Gladiators. They have lost their all matches in a row. In the last match, he starred at Naveen ul Haq. Naveen ul Haq had exchanged some bad words to Muhammad Amir.

Shahid Afridi, the captain of Galle Gladiators, has left the LPL due to some personal reason. Afridi shared a Tweet, “Unfortunately I have a personal emergency to attend to back home. I will return to join back my team at LPL immediately after the situation is handled. All the best.”

In the absence of Afridi, Bhanuka Rajapaksa will lead the team. No decision has made about the replacement of Afridi. Today, Bhanuka Rajapaksa will lead the team against unbeaten Jaffna Stallions.

According to Lankan media, Afridi is going back to Pakistan because of his nine-month-old daughter who is ill. She is admitted to a hospital in Karachi. Lankan media added that Afridi had joined the squad late because of his daughter’s illness.

Former Pakistani cricketer Umar Gul commented on the Tweet, “I hope all is well.”
