On the international day of the girl, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined Noble Prize laureate Malala Yousufzai to discuss the girls’ International Day, an annual campaign for women’s rights and education for young girls.

At the beginning of the discussion, Malala explained the theme of the debate to the Royal couple. She explained to them the role of education and women’s growth and took reviews of them on it.

Meghan started the discussion by thanking Malala and said, “When young girls have access to education, everyone wins and everyone succeeds. It just opens doors for societal success at the highest level”. After this, she further revealed that she was working as an advocate with the association of Commonwealth Universities herself.

The world’s pandemic situation also came under discussion as it affects a lot the young women’s access to the necessity. Prince Harry also agreed with its importance and how he understands this better than as a child.

Prince Harry further added,” When you have an education, it provides money, it provides an income which makes you less susceptible to disaster.”

Malala also revealed that 20 million girls drop out of the schools due to this pandemic situation. The limitations for them has increased in online education.

Malala added, as a result of these situations, parents pushed children to marriages, or they forced them to become financial supporters of the family. She said that we must ensure that they don’t drop out of school and safely go back to school. She added that if someone wants to give the children funds, they can provide the “Malala Fund.”
