Home Remedies for Oily Skin during Summer Season

Banana & Milk and Oats Face Scrub

This is a great natural scrub that exfoliates the skin and clears dead cells, blackheads and whiteheads. Do not use the scrub on pimple and acne affected areas, as it may increase the irritation.

Mash 1 ripe banana and add a tablespoon of milk and 2 tablespoons of oats to it. Mix well and apply on clean face. Massage the face using soft circular motion for 5 to 6 minutes, leave it on for another 20 minutes and wash off with water. Repeat it 2 to 3 times a week for best results.

Apple and Honey Face Pack

This is undoubtedly the most effective natural face mask for oily skin that removes excess oil from the skin without stripping off all the moisture. As a natural hamstring, honey helps to add a soft and smooth texture to the skin whereas apples provide essential nutrients for maintaining healthy and naturally glowing skin. Apples are a rich source of vitamins such as vitamins A, B and C. These vitamins act as natural toners, cleansers and moisturizers for the skin and help prevent oily skin.

Crush a seeded apple and mix 3 tablespoon honey with it. Apply on clean face. Leave for 20 minutes and rinse off with water. Repeat this remedy 2 to 3 times every week for fair and oil-free skin.

Don’t forget the Lips and Eyes

If you do step out, make sure your eyes are covered with sunglasses and lips protected with a balm. We often forget that the skin around the eyes is very delicate and needs extra notice. If too much heat is making your eyes burn, then wash them with clean and cold water. If the problem persists, do consult a doctor.

Don’t Eating Heavy Food

Eating heavy food is bound to make you sluggish in a weather like this. Stay away from sugary drinks that are full of calories. Make sure your intake of water is an optimum 8-10 glasses at least. Try natural alternatives like nariyal panni to hydrate yourself and feel fresh.
