A village in Italy is paying to anyone willing to move there

An ancient Italian town is everyone’s dream vacation. A unique offer popped up in a small village in Italy. The village is known as Santo Stefano di Sessanio. A sufficient amount of money will be paid to everyone who wants to live in that village or start a business there.

Around 115 people live in the village, 13 are younger than 20 years, and 41 are older than 65.

The city council ensures that there will be sustainable development in the village. There is no danger of health. According to Mayor Fabio Santavicca, “We are not selling anything to anyone. This is not a business move. We just want to enable the village to continue to live.”

They will provide properties to new residents. They will also pay €8000 per month for the first three years. Anyone who wants to start a business there, the city council will pay him € 20,000 to start a business in the village.

Everyone cannot apply for this program. This is only for the people in Italy who are younger than 40. Moreover, they have provided a list of companies in that area. There have been around 1500 applicants since it started on October 15. The City council will narrow this down to 10 people or five couples. The mayor has said that the numbers will be gradually increased.
