Pakistan has some of the most beautiful lakes in the world and we look at five of the most beautiful lakes across the country.
1- Satpara Lake
Satpara Lake is a natural lake near Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, which supplies water to Skardu Valley. It is fed by the Satpara Stream. Satpara Lake is situated at an elevation of 2,636 meters above sea level and is spread over an area of 2.5 km².
2- Nultar Lake
The breathtaking Naltar Lake also known as the “Bashkiria Lake“is also situated in Gilgit-Baltistan. It is found in the Nultar valley which is one the most beautiful valley in Pakistan.
3- Attabad Lake
Attabad lake is in Hunza valley. It is also known as “ Gojal Lake”. Attabad Lake is about half an hour east of Karimabad, the capital of the Hunza District in the Gilgit-Baltistan province of Pakistan. If you arrive independently, you can arrange trips on the lake with local guides or in Karimabad
4- Rainbow Lake, Domal
The Rainbow Lake is a serene lake in Gilgit-Baltistan’s Mining area. Located near Domel that is a village in the very far-flung Minimerg Valley of Astor District, Rainbow Lake is a small lake but doesn’t at all lack in beauty.
5- Saif-ul-Maluk Lake
This lake is nothing short of breath-taking, near the town of Naran in the Saif-ul-Maluk National Park. At an elevation of 3,224m (10,578 feet) above sea level, the lake is located above the tree line and is one of the highest lakes in Pakistan.
